The nervous system is a network of nerve tissue in the body that sends messages between the brain and the body using electrical and chemical signals. It controls many aspects of what you think, feel, and do, including movement, speech, breathing, and learning. The nervous system also interprets and responds to information gathered through the senses to determine if you are safe or in danger. Therefore, nervous system plays a crucial role in how we interact with the world and in our relationships, influencing our behavior, emotional responses, and overall well-being. We can learn a lot about our own triggers and needs by slowing down and intentionally reconnecting to those sensory experiences that are continually inform the nervous system and in the turn the rest of the Body and Mind. In Somatic healing, we emphasize the subjective, experiential aspects of bodily sensations, movements, and states. We drop into these experiences as a means of reconnecting to our need, boundaries and values, ultimately making what for authentic living and True Self Alignment. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!
